Alaska Glacier Trip

Bring your family or friends for a fun day trekking on the blue ice of the glacier; explore crevasses, pools, towering ice formations and hidden lakes. Just about anyone can enjoy glacier treks with our experienced guides.

Or try out the challenging and exciting sport of ice climbing. The Matanuska is a great training ground to learn the art and technical skills of climbing vertical ice, in the warm comfort of summer!

Glacier Hiking

Glacier hiking is for virtually everyone! With proper equipment and an experienced guide, explore the hidden treasures of the Matanuska Glacier. Trips depart at 10 am and 2 pm daily. Special group hiking times are available.

The Ice Fall Trek

Alaska Glacier TourOur most popular hike, featuring close-up views of crevasses, seracs and unique ice formations. With the use of crampons, you'll enjoy the unique experience of trekking to a high point on the glacier which overlooks the ice fall. The glacier is in a constant state of change, and your guide can point out various features as you navigate the intense surface. This is sure to be an unforgettable experience. No experience necessary.

Cost: $70.00 per person plus entry into Glacier Park, 2 person minimum.
Traveling alone? If we can't add you to a group, you can still enjoy this trip for $100.
Length: Approximately 3 hours.
We Provide: All hiking gear, including crampons and a helmet.
You Bring: Hiking Boots, a day pack, sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves and rain gear. (We have hiking boots available for you to borrow.)
