Every year, thousands of visitors to Alaska are captivated by the intrigue of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race at IdidaRide Sled Dog Tours in Seward.  Started by the Seavey Family in 1993, IdidaRide Sled Dog Tours is one of the largest sled dog tour companies in Alaska.  IdidaRide is located on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula just five miles from the seaside town of Seward.  IdidaRide is home to one of Alaska's most popular summer tours, the 1 1/2-hour Wilderness Sled Dog Ride and Tour.  During the winter months, tours are conducted out of the Seavey family's racing kennel in Sterling, Alaska, 80 miles from Seward.  The tours are the major source of income for Seavey's Iditarod Racing Team.
